Ellison Scholars Program 2025 in UK

Internship Overview

During the ten-week summer recess that falls between each academic year, undergraduate Ellison Scholars undertake internships with teams at the Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT). Over this period they contribute to active EIT initiatives dedicated to tackling major global challenges through science and technology. Each placement is aligned with one or more of EIT’s four “Humane Endeavours” focus areas:

• Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture
• Clean and smart Energy
• Artificial Intelligence and Digital Robotics
• Health and Medical Science Programs

Scholars are expected to apply their knowledge, skills or enthusiasm from fields such as artificial intelligence and data science, economics and public policy, generative biology,Digital robotics, engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, computer science, mathematics, medicine and law and others to advance these projects.

Eligibility for the Undergraduate Scholarship

To be considered, applicants must first satisfy the University of Oxford’s entry standards for their chosen degree. Specifically, they must:

- Possess (or be on track to receive) a secondary-school leaving certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification that Oxford recognises

- Achieve (or be predicted to achieve) the minimum grades required for the selected undergraduate programme.

- Meet (or be on course to meet) the University’s English-language proficiency threshold for that programme.

Candidates who fall short of any of these conditions are strongly discouraged from applying. In addition, every eligible applicant must fulfil the scholarship’s selection criteria before beginning the formal application process
